One-on-one training sessions are workouts with just you and your trainer, Stephanie.
Not only will you be put through a personalized workout to get you closer to your fitness goals, you will also be coached on your form. One of my goals from a trainer's perspective is to TEACH you how to exercise and move correctly.
I don't want you to need me forever.
I want to give you the tools to be successful and the knowledge to do so.
This is way more than exercise, this is an investment for yourself and your future.
You have plenty of options here: I can come to you, you can come to me, or we can meet at a public place, like a park. Aqua training sessions also available with pool access.
For the time being, we will be meeting outdoors to adhere to Covid-19 guidelines. Once the pandemic is over, we will be in an indoor gym. Stay tuned for more exciting info on that later!
I train men, women, and children of all ages, levels, and backgrounds.
My youngest current client is 12 years old, and my oldest is 80.
Absolutely. I personally have experience with the following:
Partner sessions are just like one on one sessions, but you can have a friend, loved one, or family member join you. Your partner cannot be someone new each session, that defeats the purpose of personalization. With that being said, it is best if the partner has similar fitness goals as you do.
Virtual sessions are exactly like one on one sessions with the exception that they are held on an online platform such as Zoom or Google Meet. This is a very enjoyable and favorable method to many groups of people, including but not limited to:
No. In a virtual setting, I need to be able to see the client's full body to correct and cue form and imbalances. When two people are sharing the eye of the camera, they both must be further away to accommodate the space, which puts them at a disadvantage because I won't be able to see them as well as I need to.
I deeply discourage “diets”, as they are often only a temporary fix for a long-term problem. I do highly encourage healthy eating through permanent behavioral changes that you can live with. A healthy diet, combined with adequate exercise, will help you achieve your desired goals much faster than either diet or exercise alone.
Generally, it takes 8-12 weeks before you begin to “see” results. What type of results you “see” is very individual and depends on your baseline fitness, how hard and how frequently you exercise, and what your goals are. More importantly however, you will “feel” the results of exercise almost immediately. I try to de-emphasize the obsession with the scale results, and pay more attention to all of the other wonderful things exercise can do for you like increase your energy, reduce stress levels and improve your strength. A scale can be your worst enemy.
Personal trainers cannot legally give explicit meal plans as we are not degreed nutritionists and, it is against our “scope of practice”. However, what we can and will do is review the foundation of healthy nutrition, and assist clients on tracking their nutrition through food logs to create awareness and accountability.
I can help you make permanent lifestyle changes and behavior modifications which will allow you to “know thyself” and thus find success.
Easy...message me directly to get started! I don't like the idea of technology booking appointments for me, because even in this day and age, technology is still not something we can rely on. Once we are in communication with one another, you will be given a time slot on a certain day/days of the week, and that will be your permanent time with me.
*Remember, I always work around your schedule, and together we will find a time slot that suits your needs.
